Dolapo ‘JOY’ Opebiyi
DNP, PMHNP-BC
Dr. Joy is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Babcock University, holds a master’s degree in public health education from Western Kentucky University, and obtained a Master of Science in Nursing/DNP from Walden University.
Dr. Joy has worked as a Psychiatric Nurse for 12 years with all ages and in different settings. These include inpatient, community, nursing home and group home settings. She also worked outpatient providing psychotherapy for patients with drug use and addiction.
Dr. Joy is a culturally sensitive provider, a good listener, an advocate, empathetic, loves children, and is always ready to help. She speaks Yoruba, pidgin English, and English fluently.
She has a passion for serving those who need mental health services by developing patient-centered treatment plans with her multidisciplinary team and utilizing an evidence-based approach to caring for her clients.

Omobolanle ‘Bola’ Olagoke

Omobolanle ‘Bola’ Olagoke is a highly qualified dual Board-Certified Family and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing comprehensive, compassionate care to individuals of all ages. With a unique ability to address both physical health and complex mental health needs, she brings a well-rounded approach to patient care.
She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from North Carolina Central University in 2009, followed by a Master’s degree in Nursing (FNP) from Winston Salem State University in 2016. In 2024, she completed a post-graduate certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health (PMHNP).
Bola has gained extensive experience across various healthcare settings, where she blends evidence-based practices with a patient-centered approach to deliver holistic care. Her expertise includes diagnosing and managing both acute and chronic conditions, prescribing medications, and providing therapeutic interventions to promote mental and emotional well-being.
Driven by a deep passion for improving patient outcomes and overall quality of life, Bola is committed to building trust and fostering collaboration with her patients. She ensures they feel heard, supported, and empowered in managing their health. Always striving for professional growth, she stays current with the latest healthcare advancements. Bola is a proud member of the International Nursing Honor Society and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
Beyond her clinical skills, she is a passionate advocate for mental health awareness. She actively works to reduce the stigma surrounding mental illness, encouraging individuals to seek the care and support they need to lead fulfilling lives.
Sandra Thompson
DNP, FNP-BC, NP-C, PMHNP-BC
Dr. Sandra Thompson is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a Doctor of Nursing Practice in Family Practice and a proud U.S. Air Force veteran. She brings a strong foundation in both primary care and behavioral health, allowing her to approach each patient with a comprehensive understanding of the connection between physical and mental well-being. Her military service instilled in her a deep sense of integrity, resilience, and commitment to service—values that continue to guide her clinical practice.
Dr. Thompson provides compassionate, evidence-based, and holistic mental health care across the lifespan. She is dedicated to delivering individualized treatment that reflects each patient’s unique history, goals, and cultural background. Her approach emphasizes collaborative decision-making, ensuring patients feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout their care journey. She is passionate about reducing stigma, improving access to care, and fostering long-term wellness through thoughtful assessment, accurate diagnosis, medication management when appropriate, and supportive therapeutic interventions.
Outside of her professional role, Dr. Thompson prioritizes balance and self-care. She enjoys spending time with her three goldendoodles and her cat, finding joy and grounding in the companionship of her pets. This commitment to personal well-being reinforces her belief that mental health is an essential component of a fulfilling and balanced life.
Dr. Sarah Folorunsho
DNP, PMHNP-BC
Dr. Sarah Folorunsho is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner committed to delivering compassionate, person-centered mental health care across the lifespan. With a strong foundation in nursing practice and advanced doctoral training in psychiatric care, she integrates clinical expertise with a deep understanding of the biological, psychological, and social factors that influence mental health.
Throughout her career, Dr. Folorunsho has been actively involved in community mental health initiatives, advocating for increased awareness, early intervention, and equitable access to quality behavioral health services. She is passionate about supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds and recognizes the importance of culturally responsive care in fostering trust and meaningful therapeutic relationships.
Her clinical approach emphasizes comprehensive assessment, accurate diagnosis, thoughtful medication management when appropriate, and supportive therapeutic interventions. Dr. Folorunsho values collaboration and shared decision-making, ensuring that each treatment plan is tailored to the patient’s unique experiences, strengths, and goals. Barbara Brower
Office Manager
Ms. Barbara is our office manager at Oasis Wellness & Behavioral Center. She has been in the mental health field for over 20 years. She worked in the school district working with children with behavioral health issues. She also worked as a supervisor for older adults with dementia and physical disabilities.
Ms. Barbara worked in the psychiatric hospital assisting with behaviors and treatment plans. She is a certified medical administrative assistant with an associate degree in healthcare management and a bachelor’s degree in psychology.
